Another Great Day in Fawnskin!

Today is another beautiful day. It makes it hard to want to work inside and that is part of the reason I often opt to work into the night. I had a blast out in the SEDA kayaks yesterday and am finding that I want to be out on the lake again today. I ran my errands and morning appointment and so now it is time to buckle down.

Another reason I am reluctant sit at my computer is that the construction noise next door makes it hard to concentrate and unpleasant to work. My telephone conversations have to be taken to the far end of the house to avoid the bang, bang, bang of the hammers, the roar of the saws, and the click of the staple guns. At least the guys have quit with the loud music and cussing–but they have started before legal operating hours twice in the last week…once at 5:50am. When I mentioned it, the guy stupidly asked if I had a problem with it.

Uh, yes! And by the way, do you know the legal start time for construction is 7am? Bad behavior. I just hope they finish up in the next month or so, as this project has been going on for a year now. The monks have kicked butt and in TWO months have managed to achieve the same level of progress. Hmmm. Two months versus twelve. I’d hire the monks in a minute.

I am waiting on some photos from the Fawnskin Picnic. Send them over! A bunch of us hope to go out dancing next weekend. If you are interested, drop me a line. Should be good entertainment (music and otherwise) due to the holiday weekend.

BTW: Just got the good news! My book is being translated into German. In case you don’t know, it is for sale all over the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and India. Check it out via the banner to your right.
