Holidays at Moose Lodge 2085

Wow, I just heard that the Moose Lodge hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner that was lightly attended. Nobody seemed to know about it and I certainly don’t remember reading about it in my bulletin–did I just miss it? One of the best Thanksgivings I shared when I first moved to Fawnskin was celebrated at the Moose with all my neighbors and some orphans I dragged along.

Anyway, don’t miss Christmas Dinner at the Moose. This dinner is free for all Moose Members and Fawnskin residents. Wayne and his crew will prepare a traditional holiday dinner with turkey, ham and all the trimmings. Make sure to put it on your calendar–they didn’t give a time so stay tuned!

Another fun event is the annual Christmas Caroling throughout Fawnskin. This year the caroling is scheduled for December 20th at 5:30pm. Dress warm and turn up at the Moose Lodge for pre-event holiday cheer. We usually get chauffeured around in the coveted snow growler.

Finally, in lieu of a holiday party this year, the Women of the Moose has donated $1500 to the Sheriff’s Department to give parentless children a Merry Christmas.

The Moose Lodge also said to show up early for the Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3rd at Fire Station 49. The event is scheduled for 5:30pm but last year it got lit up early. Pop by the Lodge afterwards for Clam Chowder or Chicken Chowder.
