Road Conditions

Just a quick note to encourage you to visit the scanner or KBHR’s news page. Big rigs and buses are currently banned from coming up the mountain roads during the current storm. A bus blocked traffic on 330 yesterday. TC’s (traffic collisions) are keeping the boys busy and they are bringing in extra shift help. If you think about it drop by the station and take the boys at Fire Station 49 some snacks and hot drinks.

I heard that Hwy 38 through Onyx is only open to residents. I hope you don’t have to travel but if you do, check the road conditions, keep a full tank of gas, and make sure you have supplies in your car in the event you get stranded.

I’ve seen a lot of vehicles with fresh dents and paint from the vehicles that they collided with. Chain up or be sure to use your 4-wheel low drive.
