Quiet on the Fawnskin Front

Wow! Both the NSIA Potluck & Moose Lodge were lightly attended tonight. I shot home after a long day but not before popping in both places. Thanks to Rick for the photos from the party on Saturday. More are coming from other sources.

Cynthia gave me a press release so I will wait and give you the scoop regarding our postmaster and the Spring Home & Garden Show up here on May 27th.

The latest update on the MS Walk is $67,881! The target is $75,000 so keep you fingers and toes crossed.

Okay, here are some snaps from the party for Doris. After 20 years she is going to go where it is warm. She said she’ll be up off and on for the next couple of weeks. (She also feels better in the warm environment.)

The first of several waves of well wishers gathered at Fire Station 49 to honor the retirement of Doris Layne former owner of the Fawnskin Market…20 years!

Despite promises to not cry, both Francie (daughter) and Doris do anyway.

Postmaster Cynthia always has something to share and Kathy is enthralled.

The infamous “War Wagon” of Moose Lodge 2085 really dished out the fare feeding all party attendees.

Good luck Doris and much love from us all for your new life! Don’t forget to come back and visit once in a while.
