No, No, No…

I stopped by to make a donation to the Senior Thrift Center today and noticed all the “NOs.” No Drop Offs After Hours, No Donations Here, No Solicitors, No Pets, No Smoking, No Parking…Geez. Guess I am heading over to the Hummingbird Project.

Dam closure today…just a reminder that today the dam will be closed while the guys move the equipment out. They have been doing structural work for earthquake code.

Bad Behavior
In other news, people are talking about one of our former Fawnskin visitors and temporary residents. Last I heard the guy had moved from the little cabin rentals in town over to Big Bear City. The incident is no longer listed on the sheriff’s log so here is the blurb courtesy of KBHR:

“Sparks Arrested for Assault At 12:20 a.m. last Friday, November 17, deputies responded to a call at Murray’s Saloon on Cottage Lane in the Village. According to police reports, 44-year-old Albert Sparks, a local resident, argued with another man at the bar. Sparks then reportedly left the bar struck the man in the parking lot with his truck. Victim identity is being withheld at this time, but he was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. His current condition is unknown. After the incident, Sparks fled the scene but was ultimately arrested at his residence in Big Bear City for violation of PC 245 – Assault with a Deadly Weapon.”

The Senior Citizen Thrift Shop is managed by a few of the RUDEST folks I’ve ever encountered. One woman appears to be in HUGE need of a life.

Hummingbird is a wonderful store – interesting items, select items and CLEAN. Shop there instead – you’ll never get an sour attitude.

@Valerie: We dropped by today and everyone was great. The HB Project has moved and it is apparent that people are supporting them versus the Senior Thrift Store based on the volume of goods and the amount of people that were there compared to the Senior Thrift Store when we visited…as always, if you are unhappy just vote with your dollars!
