Fawnskin Christmas Tree Lighting 2006

Santa & Mrs Claus looked fabulous as usual. The duo got mobbed by children this year and it was hard to get a snapshot once they started giving out presents.

After the children received their gifts, grandma and dad showed up with the youngest kid in Fawnskin…he is only a month old.

2006 Mayor Emily with one of the elves that arrived with Santa Claus.

Boy, were these elves the best! They had a great time and supplied the help Santa & Mrs Claus needed for the massive amount of young fans that turned up.

I had to convince Santa & Mrs Claus that I was a good GG this year despite running an alleged gossip rag.

Here are Santa & Mrs Claus with Elf Donna.

Just a peak at some of the crowd present at the Fawnskin 2006 Christmas Tree lighting.

Shortly after my arrival all hell broke loose and Art Harriman seemed to attract the wild singers of Fawnskin!

Some residents were quieter (L to Rt) Ernie, Art, & Elf Dave (Not affiliated with Santa)

Finally, the holiday tree…I am still figuring out this camera.

Two of my favorite Fawnskin residents, Betty & Kathy.

Even though Gene Cyr is running against me for Honorary Mayor, I showed up at his event and made him pose for this snap.

I met up with my neighbors Jerry & June and they helped distribute my Honorary Mayor Pancake Breakfast Flyers! Remember, 8-11 December 16, 2006. You can start with my breakfast and then head over for the CATS fundraiser.

The Moose Lodge was happening after the Christmas tree lighting. Here Dave, Lori, Betty, and Sue wait for the pasta dinner.

The Scoop on the Day
The kids had a great time making ornaments and decorated the tree with them. I always find this amusing since only the bottom of the tree contains ornaments. Cute.

I missed the arrival of Santa and Mrs Claus but they arrived by Fire Truck as usual. Great way to make an impression. I hate when those reindeer go on strike…allegedly they heard about how Fawnskin got its name and were protesting.

NSIA and Fawnskin residents wish to thank the following people for helping make the Fawnskin Christmas tree lighting such a great affair. So kudos to:
-Fawnskin Fire Station 49 with special thanks to chief Captain Craig Smith
-Steve Casey
-Lori Gardiner
-Bear Valley Electric Company for helping us put the lights up with their equipment

Thanks to those donating to the cause:
-Lori Gardiner, and Ernie & Carol of North Shore Antiques
-Women of the Moose
-Loyal Order of the Moose 2085
-Art Harriman
