Fawnskin Market…closer to opening…we hope!

Since many of you have been asking about the Fawnskin Market, I gave Mark a call last night. He said they got through all the CalTrans stuff and now are just waiting on the county (again).

You should see some work going on in the next few weeks. It may be June 1st before it opens–but Mark is hoping sometime mid-May. I jokingly teased him about celebrating the grand opening during his year anniversary and he said that he has owned the closed facility since May 1, 2006.

This give a whole new meaning to “business friendly” in our county–never mind the hassles others see in other parts of the valley–it is very sad that he won’t get to celebrate his anniversary by being open.

For those you who didn’t make it over yesterday, I’ll be out at EastSide Book Cafe signing books for most of the day. Drop by and have a latte!

In the meantime, I am off to the NS Cafe for the latest news…
