Fawnskin Business Buzz

This morning was bustling in down town Fawnskin. The long awaited opening of Amangela’s drew locals out early and throughout the day in support of this new business. As predicted, there were a few glitches but nobody seemed to care.

Outside, Rick began prepping the soil for easier gardening for the Garden Party on Thursday am. Weeding and nurturing our little patch is something our fabulous local volunteers take pride in doing. Visitors comment frequently about the beautiful little garden outside of the Post Office and at the Triangle across from Fire Station 49.

Inside Amangela’s they were dishing out some mightly fine bagel breakfasts. Cindy and Billy (of Spin Graphics fame) commuted ALL the way over from Bear City. Cindy said the bagel with lox was out of this world.

Still needing work is the mix on the espresso machine but nobody really seemed to mind at all.

Dave & Sue Crocett were up and snacked on two different breakfast bagels–eggs with choices of meat and a blended juice drink that looked great. Most locals ordered drinks and food. Here are a few snaps of the crowd when I dropped by:

Fire Station 49 stopped in and our new crew member also moonlights as a fix-it fireman. Drop by to welcome him to town. Here you can see him dashing over to order after first fixing the door spring. Everyone always seems to lend a hand when it is needed.

Finally one REALLY famous (or is it infamous?) Fawnskin resident said “No!” to the local paparazzi.

North Shore Tavern
In other news, locals say that the North Shore Tavern building will have a new restaurant going in again soon. This time the scuttlebutt is that it will be along the lines of a cowboy steakhouse. I’ll give you more details as they come my way but it is great that we will again have a busier downtown area.
