Fawnskin’s Garden Party, Amangela’s, Dana Point Park & Fawn Harbor News

The garden party went really well yesterday. Sorry I didn’t get any snaps but I was scheduled to head out of town early in the day, and well, that got delayed. So, I got a quick gander at the work and crew on my amble down to Amangela’s but no photos–thanks to the hardworking crew for their dedication to the town.

BTW I had breakfast at Amangela’s yesterday–worth the commute. They are working out a few last bugs but overall the feedback from visitors has been great.

Word has it that at the NSIA board meeting Captain John was showing good sense and good behavior. The reports I got are that the RV Park and overnight camping idea has been scratched and that they will not be resurrected. Scuttlebutt says that the investigation into that idea was futher along that was let on.

Some of us heard that when the survey crew was down at the marina…anyway, the lease renewal for Fawn Harbor is supposed to be on its way after approval by the special district head honcho and those details should be in to Captain John by Monday.

Rumors are that the threat of tar and feathering by residents of Fawnskin prompted a bit of reassessment on the issues. As usual, no sources will step forward but hopefully we will not have to worry about these issues again anytime in the near future.

I am off to the other side of the mountain today but will be attending the fashion and jewelery show at Serenity Place Gallery tonight. Cindy and Louis are Fawnskin residents so I hope you will drop by to support them. Cindy also brought in copies of Blessing of the Animals and has asked me to sign them during the event–so if you have not purchased a copy yet–drop by! The event starts at 6pm and the gallery is located on Village Drive in Big Bear Lake.
