Miserable Outside of Fawnskin

Did you miss me this morning? I am ALL THE WAY over in Shay Meadows helping out a friend. I HATE being out of Fawnskin but this am I took a short jaunt over to the Eastside Book Cafe and actually took some time to review the Wall Street Journal–and of course browse through the stacks of books.

The weather couldn’t be nicer for the 25th annual Jim Hall Memorial May Trout Classic. My pal Robin (Fawnskin resident who works at Valero) is out participating. Let’s hope she wins. She has been recovering from the loss of her hubby–and her cat. Hopefully the time out on the lake and in the sun will lift her spirits.

Yesterday I dropped by Big Bear to fuel up and was reminded that I forgot to mention the Jeep Jamboree which is also this weekend. Fair enough…

Just a reminder, keep your fuel tanks full enough this summer in case the worst happens. What most people forget is that when the power gets knocked out you won’t be able to pump fuel. Also, with so many visitors expected for the summer it will be an additional load on all resources.

I’ll be at Serenity Place Gallery in a few hours. Hope to see you there…if not I will be back in Fawnskin Sunday night.
