The Other Side of the Mountain

Saturday I spent the day traveling across the mountain to Crestline. The book signing at McCabe & Company Booksellers was fun and was supervised by BeBe a Scottish fold.

On the way home I stopped at one of my other favorite independent bookstores, Cabin Fever in Sky Forest. Below are a few snaps, if you get a chance–stop by and see Tami. She was very excited to learn about the Fawnskin Flyer. When the Old Fire whipped its way up through the mountains–the small business area in Sky Forest was spared. I know I was certainly glad and be sure to drop by when you get a chance.

You might have wondered about the changes in the Running Springs Coffee House. The place has been operating as the Bus Stop since late February–the coffee and food are fabulous per GG. If you were craving great pastries or custom cakes then this is the place to stop. Below are the photos from the downstairs area where they hold an open mike night and also a poetry slam. The upstairs is also a great place to park yourself AND they have wireless internet.Check out the cake web blog.

If I sound a little bit bizarre–it is because I also signed books at the Serenity Place Gallery event Saturday night–a long day but very fun. We love when the books sell out!
