Cool Down the Comments

Okay, I am not going to allow comment wars…no more personal attacks. If you don’t see your post it is because I decided it was getting too nasty–I want you to participate but don’t get into verbally slapping each other–that is not what this blog is about.

I was SO happy to see the weather shift this am. Don’t get me wrong, I love the nice weather we have here but the heat wave has been a bit too much for an area with old cabins and businesses not insulated well enough and lacking air conditioning…not to mention the really dry forest.

Speaking of which, I saw visitors with a bundle of wood heading out into the forest…guessing the campground. I do not like that _any_ open flames are being allowed.

BTW: We got smart and hit the NS Cafe for dinner last night because HM was actually able to close and get over here in time. Richard is open until 7pm (closed Tuesdays) and I must say it was nice to have a great meal for a change!

We then strolled over to see Mike at the Fawnskin Market and pick up some ice cream for HM’s dessert (Richard was sold out). He said he has been busy. Some of you have been asking questions about the hours over at the Fawnskin Market: 7am to 9pm. It is a nice short stroll for a snack or forgotten item. The good news is that every time we drop in he has 2-3 customers.

Okay, I am off to RS for my weekly jaunt. Have fun without me!

🙂 Gosh did you give me a good laugh.

Exactly why I didn’t want to be a mom! I’ll try to catch it earlier next time.

I seem to remember a quote of something like “Be the example you would want the world to follow.”

    …but then again, maybe not.

BTW I just had a follow up thought after hearing that anyone who starts a fire by carelessness will be liable for the damages and costs of fighting it…so does that mean the forestry service, too?
