More Fawnskin Doo Dah Parade 2007

Okay, did you miss me? I am actually avoiding doing the work I need to be doing because it is more fun looking at the snaps and giving you all the up to the minute reporting *snicker* over here in Fawnskin–where according to the Grizzly, “Nothing ever happens.” (Yes, I am still on about that.)

Tonight is the Discovery Center Gala (also in Fawnskin) and it looks like a record crowd is over there. Never mind that all the corvettes are over at the Convention Center. Hope to see some of them over here in Fawnskin tomorrow!

For those of you who don’t know, back in the early to mid-1990’s the Fawnskin Doo Dah Parade was one of the shortest parades around. In fact, they didn’t even parade through the whole town (a whopping three blocks according to the song I heard today–but I thought it was just one long one). The parade then was less than half a dozen participants (animals and humans) who had to turn around after a few steps to make a second pass…now it is really a big to do–I still can’t believe we had 48 entries!

I took over 200 but am not going to post any more but Rick also has some up and you can view those Doo Dah Parade 2007 photos, too.

Above: Fawnskin is VERY dog friendly. This entry is BARC (Benevolent Animal Rescue Committee)

And finally, Rick and Char look so happy before the parade…

and THEN Rick disrupts the whole event for a mad dash to the NSIA float to get a passionate kiss–disrupting the parade, abandoning the microphone and his _vital_ role of Master of Ceremonies! *Gasp*
