First Saturday Tradition Continues

To say I am behind is an understatement. I am also darn tired after that late night out and an early morning and day filled with business activities–especially when I thought I was going to have a day off!

So, I am going to attempt to catch up on some of the news around these parts…

One of the great things about Serenity Place Gallery was the monthly Saturday receptions. A few of the artists decided that the tradition should continue and so last Saturday a group of us gathered at Matt & Lydia’s home in Big Bear Lake.

Speaking of artists…the mirror mosaic by Ms. Antes sold for $2300 bucks last night in a bidding war where the pressure was on via chanting from the whole room, but I digress…

It was good to see Cindy and Louis outside of a business setting where they were working. The food, company, and conversations were good–and yes, it was another late night. Boy, am I turning into a party animal staying out after 9pm several nights in a row.

Anyway, the gang decided that we are skipping December due to the holiday season but people will gather together again in January.

In other “breaking news”
Some of the moountain leaders are heading down to the Lake Arrowhead area to meet with the Governator Wednesday. They are making an effort to get people to understand that the mountain resort areas are still up and running–and a good place to visit. Watch the news tomorrow night for details.

Blog, blog, blog
BTW: Did you know there was a local yarn designer blog based out of Big Bear? They don’t post too often but it is a start!

There are some others popping up too. Speaking of which, I have new plans for the flyer in 2008…stay tuned! Also, I just got notification that the site will be down on November 8th–don’t worry.
