Thankful & Estate Planning

Wow, I am really thankful I live on the mountain (see tomorrow’s post about this). I arrived down the hill about Noon–it was a zoo. I am back up packing for our trip tonight–sheesh! Glad we are leaving late.

I wanted to let you know about a FREE Estate Planning Class that is taking place next week. Bill Hood of Bear Valley Estate Planning will offer the class on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 5:30pm at the Discovery Center.

You can RSVP to (877) 585-0002 (24 hours a day). There won’t be any sales pitches at the event but Bill will offer all attendees that mention the Fawnskin Flyer a free consultation. If you attend and plan on using his service all attendees will be a $300 discount on a trust based estate plan.

Some of the topics Bill will tackle include:
-Disasters of the rich and famous, including Anna Nicole Smith’s pathetic will.

-Who inherits your property if you die without a will or a trust. You may be surprised!

-How to save your family thousands of dollars by avoiding the Terry Schiavo nightmare.
-How federal estate taxes take 55% of estates over $1,000,000 after 2010.

-How a revocable living trust can:
*protect you heirs’ & your spouse’s inheritance from creditors, ex-spouses, and bankruptcy.
*avoid going to court to obtain a conservator for you if you become incapacitated.
*specifically address the different needs of each of your loved ones now and adjust to their changing needs after you’re gone–such as unexpected illness, disability, or substance abuse problems.

-Learn about the fundamental estate planning documents that should be included in a comprehensive estate plan and how they can save your family time, money, and aggravation.

Okay, off I go–Happy Thanksgiving!
