Book Review: 1,001 Low-Fat Soups & Stews

Okay, I am focusing on other projects today and thought I would just post a short announcement about a cook book I like.

Most of you know that I am a non-traditional cook in that I just get in the kitchen and do my thing. However, occasionally someone pushes me to do something outside of the norm.

In this case, the out of the norm was to give me a recipe book for soups and stews. It sat around for the longest time and then it happened, I picked it up and made a stew–and guess what? It was phenomenal.

Sue Spitler and Linda Yoakam have teamed up to compile a great resource for one pot meals. If you hate clean up–you’ll love that!

Also, even though the recipes are low-fat it doesn’t mean they are not tasty. Every one I have tried has been great. There is not much more to say than that–if you don’t have a copy–grab one.
