The Book & Bean in Big Bear Lake (Pine Knot Ave) has vintage books and contemporary titles along with places to sit and read. They have a pod press coffee maker. The other bookstore is Edelweiss Books (Village Drive) also in the village. They have tons of paperbacks and a good selection of popular books and games. @Chau: Yes we are sad about it too. It's my kind of bookstore because the price is so reasonable. I discovered it last summer and since have visited it often. My husband is not a reader but he's enjoyed the hot mocha drink while waiting for me browsing for books. Would you recommend any alternative in BB valley?
