MS Walk 2008: Roaming Correspondant Reports

Since I am currently out of Fawnskin, thanks to correspondant Rick for covering this breaking news…

Yesterday Charlene & I joined other members of the Big Bear Valley Habitat for Humanity folks in the annual Walk to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis. Starting with the registration activities followed by the Walk itself then the ‘cool down’ gathering and ending with a party to celebrate the success, we had a terrific day.

The goal was to raise $100K from this event. One of the very positive aspects of living in the Big Bear Valley is the culture of charity. The community is always ready to step-up to support a worthy cause. The event organizers are still totaling the funds raised. Typically, it takes a few weeks before all of the donations are submitted.

The link below chronicles the fine time we had joining with our friends and neighbors.
