North Shore Brewing Company

Well, after a bunch of false starts the old North Shore Tavern is open again–this time as the North Shore Brewing Company. I wrote about this a few weeks back but don’t have too much news for you.

We haven’t strolled in yet as we are supporting the Moose Lodge this weekend but the NS Brewing Company will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The hours are:

  • Lunch Noon-4:30pm.
  • Dinner 5:00pm until 9:00pm (Sun-Thurs) and 5:00pm until 10:00pm Saturday.
  • Bar hours are a bit confusing but listed as 9:00pm until closing (Sun-Thurs) and 10:00pm until closing on Friday and Saturday. Live entertainment will be held every Friday & Saturday from 10:00pm until closing.

You can check it out at 39247 Northshore Drive in Fawnskin. (909) 878-3663.

Went there the other night the food was awesome, wait staff was great. We ended up staying for the entertainment, which is better than anyone else around. You need to check it out. It was busy so if you go on the weekend I would recommend reservations!

Thanks for the note. I have heard good and so-so reports. Since I’ve attempted contact them a few times without any luck (going down there, calling, emailing) I am not too motivated to venture down as a result.
Whoever is promoting the place (other than failing to advertise here ) is doing a good job. Last week flyers were distributed on every car in the village area of Big Bear Lake which is why they are doing so well and the place is packed.
The local chamber should take notice and ask to piggy back on their efforts for first Fridays–maybe sponsor the flyers and use their great energy to drive other traffic over to town.

I was not impressed with the Northshore Brew Co. There were kids running around, bothering us while we were eating, asking to have some of our french fries. They do not have their own brew or any beer on tap. I have been there twice now and everytime I go in they tell me that they will have their own brew in 2 weeks. It has now been almost a month and they have yet to even begin to brew. It seemed very unorganized and defintly not somewhere i will recommend to people or ever go back to!

Well, my neighbors and I won’t be going after all now. We’ve made multiple requests for them to tone down the music on the weekends and although we’ve all been told they would–they haven’t.
Every Friday and Saturday we’ve been made to endure loud music in violation of country ordinances–last night the music went until about 2am so since they don’t care about us…well let me just say we vote with our dollars and referrals.
