Busy Week in Fawnskin

Cranky, Cranky

Okay, so I am glad that North Shore Brewing Company is rocking. But I am a bit cranky this am since I didn’t get much sleep until after their entertainment stopped–due to the throbbing of my window from the bass and music that reverberated through the hills of Fawnskin last night.

In the past, the music hasn’t been so loud so I am wondering how the neighbors who live closer to the place feel. Let me know below.

Monday, Monday

I just got notice that this Monday (June 2nd) representatives of the Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors will be in Fawnskin. This is the 12th annual rally to collect funds to assist men, women and children that have been affected by burn injuries as well as the facilities that treat them within the boundaries of the continental US.

For the past few years North Shore Improvement Association has donated money to this organization. NSIA invites you to join them on Monday, June 2nd, between 10:30 and 11:30 at the Fire Station in Fawnskin to present their donation.

First Friday

Don’t forget June 6th is the second “First Friday” in Fawnskin. Spearheaded by the Fawnskin Chamber of Commerce, local merchants and guest vendors will be open until 8pm for locals and visitors.

Pirate Faire in Fawnskin

The 3rd annual Big Bear Pirate Faire will be held at Pedersen’s Mill next weekend, June 7th & 8th 2008 from 10am until 6pm. Admission is $15 per person.

There will be battle re-enactments and battles, court martial & court re-enactments, stage shows, shopping and food and all profits go to the youth of the Valley for educational endeavors. Some activities will require an additional charge.

Would you get over yourself. All over this flyer everyone talks about the lodge and how wonderful it is for the community and how sad that it has been empty for so long. Then the first sight of something successful going in there you complain. You can’t have it both ways. This is something that can drawl people from further away. Let’s face it people would be more willing to drive a further distance to go to the Brewing company than to go to the Moose.. Seriously this could be what Fawnskin has needed to help out the other businesses down town. Maybe you should help support the community and go down, instead of complaining.

Guess you don’t read the Fawnskin Flyer much. Too bad I give everyone free coverage and have readers all over the world interested in Fawnskin. Try posting nicer comments after you read a hell of a lot more of my community service project that I have run for about three years. I just tell it like it is–like it or not. BTW How are you without much sleep?
