Children’s Fishing Derby in Fawnskin
I forgot to mention the Children’s Fishing Derby scheduled for Saturday, June 7th at Captain John’s Marina. The Big Bear Lake Optimist Club has be holding the event for 26 years.
Sign up is from 7am until 8am. You’ll need to fill out a permission slip to participate.
Awards and lunch is scheduled from 11am until 12:30pm.
Kids will need:
- fishing pole,
- bait and tackle, (Captain John’s and Fawnskin Market sell bait.)
- signed permission slips on hand.
- GG suggests sunblock and hats, too.
Fish and Game will be planting fish and all kids must be picked up by Noon. (Don’t hassle me on this time–that is what the flyer says even though lunch runs until 12:30pm.)
