North Shore Brewing Company Poll Results

Above: Pie Chart of the North Shore Brewing Company Noise Poll

Many of you have voted on the poll regarding the Friday & Saturday night noise. I closed the poll and here are the results.

Above: Some of the local poll percentages.

54% were not happy at some level about the noise.

There was a recent flurry of votes under the category, “Good they are busy.” Which moved the vote in that category from 9 up to 19.

Maybe I am suspicious but I can’t help but wonder if someone was on a campaign to change the poll results…

Above: The “Other” write in categories.

There were three comments in the “Other” category which allowed people to leave comments not listed in the main poll.

Austin commented, “Who cares about the old farts who don’t know how to have a good time!!

First, he obviously doesn’t know the demographics of the population in this area. (Mostly homeowners in the older age bracket who happen to spend a lot of money around these parts.)

On his second point, I know for a fact that locals can party to a degree younger folks would faint to discover–the so called “old farts” seriously know how to have a good time.

Plus, any business owner or manager better care–because these people are the full-time residents who will return over and over again–or boycott and never again eat at the establishment or refer another person to the business again.

The point is, the locals go home to have peace and quiet and don’t want to listen to loud noise on a regular basis.

Today this all may be a moot point since the North Shore Brewing Company is closed. The sad thing is that I think it may remain closed–which is not what locals wanted.

What locals wanted was a little consideration and compliance with requests to turn the noise down or to sound proof.

Pretty simple solution, right?

Guess not.

Did any of you get to see the Public Notice that was being handed out?

Since I was out of town I apparently missed the big action this weekend when JP (the owner of the place AND the liquor license) made an appearance.

Neighbors said he was NOT happy. Word on the street is that he is pro having a dining establishment but not a nightclub and so JP pulled the use of his liquor license and ousted Ben.

This morning I was told that JP wanted to make a statement to the Fawnskin Flyer. To date, neither JP or Ben have returned any of my calls.

I’ve heard a few other things–some of which I already had inklings about–but I am waiting for JP to comment.

If JP or anyone else wants to share their news or clarify what is happening–leave a comment below.
