New Postmaster for Fawnskin

This came as a surprise–although many of us knew that she was looking into retirement options–Cynthia Crane, the Fawnskin Postmaster, seems to have taken early retirement.

I got a call to say that the Fawnskin Post Office retail window was closed Saturday morning and an email stating that her retirement was effective Friday evening.

Word on the street is that a temporary replacement will be sent in from the Big Bear City Post Office until a permanent Post Master is selected.

🙂 I haven’t been down to meet the new guy filling in. The position is going up for bid soon. We have two postal workers in Fawnskin by I hear that the pay cut to be here is huge.

I waited 2 and 1/2 years after my retirement date to finally do it! I am alive and well and doing a bunch of fun things. Go see the Cabin in the Sky, if you have not yet done so. It’s nice to see everyone at Stater Brothers. I miss you all. Cynthia
