Big Bear Bridge: Coming Soon
You might have seen the notice that Caltrans is asking Big Bear and Fawnskin residents to join a task force for the Big Bear Bridge project. Knowing how things work around these parts–this is a scary thing.
They want committed (and I don’t think they mean insanity or jail time) between 30-40 community members to represent the local communities. The whole announcement seemed a bit vague but they are seeking “an equal cross-section between residents, local agencies, and business owners.”
The task force is supposed to address construction and traffic impact issues and work with Caltrans, the contractor (FCI Constructors, Inc.), and local agencies to help steer decisions that will help the project succeed.
If you are interested the initial meeting takes place on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Big Bear City Hall (39707 Big Bear Blvd).
