Mountain Lion Cub in Yucaipa

This cub in the picture is under sedation and also about a year old and so it is only about 30 pounds.

Cubs usually stay with the mother for about two years before venturing out on their own and are born spotted but the spots begin to fade into adult coloration starting at about eight months of age.

They might be cute but let me assure you they can pack a mighty punch!
