Starting on January 8 a new Business Owners Club will meet in Big Bear Lake. The group will meet the second Thursday of each month.

Local business owners will be able to benefit from classes and one-on-one counseling through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in partnership with the City of Big Bear Lake and the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce. Programs are paid for by the City of Big Bear Lake Improvement Agency.

Now you know that I have ranted about some of the local business practices before–so this is good news!

Among the topics planned are managing cash flow, forecasting, management control, target marketing, time management, financing, human resource management, inventory control, marketing communications, credit and collections, strategic analysis, and knowledge management systems.

Classes will be held in the morning (9:00am) while counseling sessions will take place in the afternoon at the Milton W. Hofert Hall in the Big Bear Performing Arts Center (39707 Big Bear Boulevard). Space is limited.

For additional information or to make an appointment for counseling session or a class, call SBDC’s Kristen Gerke at (760) 951-1592.

We have a cabin in Moonridge next to to an annoying private home rental. Does anyone know what is going on with the issue?

We had a horrible experience this last weekend with loud noisy obnoxious renters.

Hope you filed a complaint with the sheriff’s department. Document the issues and send a letter of complaint to the renters. You can visit the website of the City of Big Bear Lake to find more information or to talk with the officials directly. Thanks for posting.
