OTM Last Issue Ends Twelve Years

Above: Cover of the Last Issue of On The Mountain Magazine

After twelve years the last issue of On the Mountain magazine will hit the stands this week.

This was one of my favorite regional magazines and I was sad to hear the news but it isn’t surprising as many other local publications have also disappeared off the stands in the past few years.

The good news is that Nancy Lucas will be partnering with Travelhost,a nationwide group (with 40 years history), to produce Travelhost of San Bernardino/High Desert.

Yes, this pleasant publication will be missed. I enjoyed the interesting information about apples, for one thing. Will the online edition also be discontinued? I can find no mention of the end of this magazine on the website.

I am so sorry to hear of the magazine’s demise. It was a cheerful mag with lots of cheery suggestions for dining and thoughtful ads.

@mtngrm & Shadow’s Mom: Yes, it is a shame. I loved writing for them and it was one of the few local publications I thought was really different.
