Still Snowing in Fawnskin

Above: Great photo by Wally Skalij on Highway 18 by Snow Valley.

The LA Times posted some great storm photos and I managed to get about 45 minutes of shoveling in until I pooped out and the next wave of snow arrived.

Highway 18 is closed and there have been more avalanches. There was also a grim discovery down near Running Springs.

The birds have been asking for more seed so I cleared the clogged feeder holes (due to wind and wet snow) and they had a bird party.

Skiers and snow board enthusiasts might flock to the resorts this week (if they want to brave the conditions) and for sure on the weekend because of the immense amount of fresh snow.

Stay warm and enjoy that hot chocolate!

Havent been up in a few months now..dealing with family illness here at the coast and just too overwhelmed with this and work to get up the hill lately.

Since weve received back to back storms, I’m wondering if its necess we make a few calls and have some snow knocked off our shed/roof/patio, etc. Any concerns with the amount/weight of snowfall?? Lemme know your opinion-

Thanks D..pretty busy down here..hope to see you by spring.

@Kat It would be a good idea. I haven’t been down that way yet and probably won’t be until tomorrow. I’ll check it out and let you know.

Well than, it looks like I’lle be giving a call up there this evening to hire up a helping hand with a sturdy shovel.

I would be bummed to finally get up there and find things caved in–better safe than sorry.

Thanks bunches for the heads up…take care, stay warm, and get better.

Hey, I tried emailing you the photos of your house but keep getting a delayed deliver email. I’d have someone clear the jacuzzi cover but everything else looked okay.
