News 4U

Claudia and her family are celebrating their 1st Anniversary over at La Paz Bakery in the Kmart Shopping Center. If you have not been by to visit–now is a good time to stop by and wish them well and buy a few items for early morning coffee…pandulce is yummy.

In other news, Bear Valley Computers is closing as of this Sunday. Ron has accepted a new job and will be relocating up towards Mammoth and word has it that he will also be traveling through the National Parks in this new capacity–which I believe is for the BLM.

If you have not been aware of the traffic delays down Highway 18, CalTrans has been doing roadwork through the Arrowbear and Running Springs area. Delays have been as long as 30 minutes on the weekdays so be prepared if you plan to travel down the hill after about 9am.

The Fawnskin drainage project has been focused on the area that floods Highway 38 East of town. Hopefully they will also be working near the old North Shore Tavern area and the Fawnskin Realty area where we experience great flooding due to drainage issues because of blocked (and shallow) channels and drains.

Have a great weekend!
