Cash prizes and plaques were awarded for the top nine adult anglers and rods, reels, and trophies were presented to those in the Junior division (12 to 15) and the Pee Wees (up to 11 years).

Here are the results:

The top child angler was seven-year-old Kaelee Haggerty of Redlands (right) who brought in a 5.56 pound trout for first place.

Other top young anglers included:

  • Zachary Hernandez of Rialto,
  • Hannah Wijnhamer of Big Bear City,
  • Amanda Malinowski of San Bernardino,
  • T.J. Sneath of Chino,
  • Alex Shields of Huntington Beach.

Anglers in the adult category were:

  1. George Burruss of San Diego won the first place prize of $2,025 for a 13.83 pound fish. This makes it the second largest fish caught during the history of this tournament. (The largest was 14.69 pounds back in 1995 which is also the record holder for Big Bear Lake.)
  2. Randy Willis of Apple Valley took second and won $1100 with his 6.8 pound fish.
  3. Alan Sharp of Big Bear Lake came in third place with a 6.15 pound trout….the others in the top nine?

  5. Joan Eaton of Running Springs,
  6. Neal Stueve of Monrovia,
  7. Erik Anderson of Riverside,
  8. Gary Trumpler of Big Bear City,
