Fall in Fawnskin

Above: GG’s harvest before my friend arrives for a visit near the beach where I am recovering.

GG has been the garden girl and where I am currently it is still balmy and warm and my pool adventures are a nice option considering the heat. I will be heading home again soon but considering the amenities (pool, sauna, jacuzzi) and nice weather I am not too motivated to leave.

However, news is that it is fall in Fawnskin but I never believe such things until we get into the latter part of the month where the night chill requires that we bundle up for warmth.

When I left my pear tree and apple trees were promising a good harvest and I hope my neighbors Bob and Steve will amble over to snack on those delights–but hopefully there will still be some hanging when I arrive back to Fawnskin.

Anyway, fall is my favorite time of year because I love the crisp, cool nights and watching the leaves turn. It is a time to turn inward and visitors are the savvy few that know that the time between summer and winter is truly magic…

Darn, there I go again sharing those secrets.

Anyway, I thought it might be a good time to remind you that it is time to begin your winterizing efforts and here are a few favorite posts:
