Code Sweep Collects 34 Items

I warned locals about the code enforcement sweep that happened this week.

The effort was conducted by the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station and 34 vehicles, boats and trailers were towed. All the vehicles were found to be in violation of state vehicle code or county ordinances.

The Problem Oriented Policing (aka POP) happened yesterday when deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station and officials from San Bernardino County Code Enforcement stormed through the area.

LOL okay, okay–but stormed sounds really good…

Remember my pondering over why they would give advance notice of this action?

“Notice of the sweep was made in advance of the POP project to allow residents time to ensure their vehicles and properties were not in violation.”

According to the Big Bear Sheriff’s Department, advance notice to the public results in a reduction of tows and citations being issued.

Hoping that you have a great weekend. Veterans Day is next week.
