Moose Happenings

Above: Winter view of Moose Lodge 2085 located in Fawnskin!

The Moose Lodge was a busy, happy place last night for taco night.

Always popular with the locals, it has become a consistent meeting place for many members from around the valley.

Tonight is the Happy Hour night a Moose Lodge 2085.

The scoop is that you can get a home cooked meal for a couple of bucks (tonight it is chicken & dumplings by Kathy London) and every drink you purchase gets you a ticket for prizes.

Sounds like fun and I might meander down if it isn’t too cold and you should too–plus the lodge has a great wood stove and the roaring fire takes away some of the chill of the night.

Fawnskin Town Clean-Up

Fawnskin locals often participate in town clean ups.

I still find it hard to believe that visitors come up and leave their trash and debris all around the lake, forest, and streets.

The good thing is that everyone here pitches in to keep the town clean and perky.

NSIA also conducts clean-ups and those who participated recently were surprised when they received movie cards in the mail from the DWP.

Moose Lodge members have always receive unexpected perks–so show up and find out just what!

The lodge actually participates in the official highway clean-up and you’ll have the opportunity to help on Saturday, November 21st.

Drop by the lodge to join the crew at 10am for the highway adventure.

BTW If you are looking for firewood…

Local resident and Moose Lodge member Tony (Michelle’s hubby) is selling firewood and he is just down the street!

I believe he has pine and sells it by the 1/4, 1/2, or full cord and his prices are great.

Just give him a call if you need wood at (310) 413-5202 and tell him GG sent ‘cha!
