Snow and Stuff
So, Big Bear finally got some snow and in between road restrictions, sparse grocery shelves, people made it up to the mountain to enjoy the first good snow fall that we’ve seen in some time.
After a dodgey start (rain-snow-rain) areas of the Big Bear Valley got as little as 6 inches of snow up to about a foot.
Despite the road restrictions and traffic, the holiday weekend brought a ton of people up for the President’s Day weekend.
The crowds will still be busy since it is a holiday Monday and most government, banks and other businesses will be closed to celebrate the holiday.
Down in the high desert, the views are stunning and the temperatures cold and I am happy not to be shoveling for the moment.
In local news, Fawnskin resident Dave Emig did pretty well in the Susitina race up in Alaska and you can see the race results here.
So today is short and sweet–enjoy your holiday and if you need snow plowing, just call Bob you can find his number in the sidebar! ==>>
