Ducks, Notices & Stuff

So GG’s breaking news video skills are not as good as they should be, but here is action footage of a brace of ducks on my way home after big adventures at the Fawnskin Post Office.

Duck groupings are also known as a flock (in flight), raft (on water), a team, or a paddling (on water), or a badling. How is that for sophistication?

I know you have always wondered about it. Heh, heh, heh.

Truth be told,  it is slow around these parts so I have to amuse myself and impress you at the same time!

Did I succeed?

Meanwhile, you are probably wondering about those notices in your PO Boxes.

You know, like the one pictured below.

No need to worry, PM Mike has about 600 phone books he is supposed to deliver.

Never mind that they were delivered door-to-door around these parts.

Like many people, I haven’t used a phone book in years. I use the Internet and my smart phone. So they need to get rid of those things somehow!

But the notices have created a surge of discussions around these parts because neighbors have been wondering if they missed the first notice of something important.

Nope, you didn’t. They just want you to have those phone books.

Meanwhile, around town the trees have begun to change color and that nip of fall is in the air.

Which brings up the answer to the burning question…people keep asking me about my shorts and if I am cold.

Now I do have some sense and so I usually have a sweatshirt or something on until it gets a bit warmer later in the mornings.

But I do feel that night air chill…

Come to think of it, during the day it depends on whether or not I am in the sun or the shade.

The breeze on my deck is cool but it has been warm enough to sit out in my chairs or to periodically get into that hammock.

Alas, that won’t be something that I will be doing for much longer.

Around town people have been raking up pine needles and the pine cones are dropping regularly–so be careful since they could give you quite a knot on the head if they hit ‘cha.

As for me, I am slowly getting better. It has been two weeks of being under the weather but at least I am getting out a little.

I am still a bit weak but glad the worst is past.

This week my agenda is wood and the hospital visit I had to put off.

What adventures do you have planned?
