The Party Perch | GG’s TOT

GG’s deck has turned into the party perch. Seriously, birds are breeding, bathing, feasting and bossing me around.

However, since I don’t have any critters of my own again yet, I enjoy the antics and the gentle calls for me to wake up.

Around town things have been hopping and have finally quieted a bit after all the activities of the past couple of weekends.

The NSIA potluck was well attended, even I strolled down for a brief break since being down near the water at Captain John’s Fawn Harbor & Marina is always a great thing.

If you are not familiar with how things work around here, the Fawnskin Honorary Mayor’s Race has finally begun so look for the ballot boxes around town.

Candidates this year are Bob Harper, Chris Weber and Serena Saunders. GG hopes to chat and get you the details sometime soon.

Fawnskin Town Hall Meeting
Just a reminder that this weekend is the town hall meeting. It will take place Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 9:30am-11:00am at the Fawnskin Fire Station (Rim of the World at Cherokee) with a continental breakfast at 9:00am.

This is the 5th Annual meeting and you’ll find the panel will include:

  • County Supervisor, Neil Derry
  • US Forest Service Ranger, Scott Tangenberg
  • Fire Battalion Chief, Jon McLinn
  • Big Bear Sheriff’s Captain, Tom Bradfor
  • DWP General Manager, Reggie Lamson
  • SW Gas Superintendent Of Operations, Any Hallman
  • BVES Energy Resources Manager, Tracey Drabant

This even is hosted by Friends of Fawnskin and the North Shore Improvement Association.

Fawnskin Market
The birds are glad that Mike at the Fawnskin Market sells meal worms. But you might like to know that he will be staying open a bit later in the near future. If you aren’t sure if he is open, just give a jingle (909) 366-0900.

Fawn Park Frivolity
In case you haven’t heard, starting June 24, 2012 Mike and Char Hoffman will be hosting some frivolity on Sunday Afternoons. Games will vary but you can call (909) 866-9219 if you want the details. There will be games and prizes at the infamous (and now open) Fawn Park.

That’s it, short and sweet…
