Attention Fawnskin!

Fawnskin Vote!

So, GG had some additional events for you to add to your calendar but first let me just say,

“Go Vote!”

Early Bird Post Office Alert
If you have not heard, Bear Valley Electric is turning off the power to the Fawnskin Post Office and surrounding businesses this Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10:00am until 4:00pm for routine maintenance in the area. If you have any electronic transactions (anything needing weighing, etc) please get your items there early. Sales of stamps, mail delivery and pickup will not be effected.

John Grandi Tree Dedication
Drop by Bear Valley Community Hospital on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:00am for a tree dedication. This event is being held to honor the memory of John Grandi and to commemorate his dedication, passion, and volunteer hours he gave to help improve and support the hospital. November 8th is also Julie Grandi’s birthday and the hospital will provide refreshments in the cafeteria after the ceremony.

Courthouse in Fawnskin? Nope, Just Cinematic History from Perry Mason

Historically Speaking
Don’t miss the Discovery Center event here in Fawnskin this Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 7:00pm. David DeSoucy will speak about the history of the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department at the Big Bear Valley Historical Society meeting. This is the last meeting of the year. Open to the public, this event is free.

On Friday, November 9, 2012 the Historical Society will conduct a field trip to the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station and site of the original Big Bear police station before heading down to the Sheriff’s Department Headquarters in San Bernardino.

Got Gas?
So, Southwest Gas moved its local business office and you probably already know that but GG just wanted to say that she doesn’t like the move or the fact that they have been pushing people to more electronic options over personal staff assistance. The new location is at 140 Business Center Drive in Big Bear Lake.

Uh, just where is that? Try looking it up on the map for fun but it is the new development in the China Garden area. The new location features a 24 hour payment kiosk. Hours of the office remain Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
