Fawnskin Thanksgiving

Hard to believe that it is almost time for Thanksgiving.

Probably my favorite holiday, Fawnskin does it right.

Monday, November 12, 2012 is the monthly North Shore Improvement Association (NSIA) Potluck which, during winter months, is held at the Old Miller Park School House located at 1178 Chickasaw (at Mohawk) in Fawnskin.

NSIA wants you to show up at 5:30pm for socializing but the potluck starts at 6:00pm.

This month will be the Thanksgiving feast.

NSIA has committed to providing the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. Attendees are asked to compliment the dinner by bringing their favorite side dishes, appetizer, relishes, salads, vegetables, deserts. Rolls and butter are also requested.

Fawnskin resident, Eileen Downey will speak on the history of Fawnskin.

This is also the second year of the food bank collection so residents are asked to bring canned goods, non-perishable and non-expired food itms to fill the bin. (Cash donations will also be taken.)

NSIA board members will make the final decision on which food bank charity will benefit and provide delivery.

For more information or questions please call Chris at (310) 880-3645.
