Pie Day! | GG’s TOT

Pie Me Oh My!

GG was a lucky gal today, now I will give you an update but first…

Tickle the cat greeted me this morning as I headed up to Brookside for an amble down the road to join a neighbor for a cup of java.

He and I walked down to his house (ten doors down) where he stopped.

I worry about him being out and about all the time but he insists on coming over and is getting a bit bossy.

Tickle on GG's Boot

He thinks I am his human girlfriend and instead of waiting to be picked up or invited, now jumps in my lap.

Just the other day he complained when I was getting up. AND he tries to run into the house every time I open the door.

Now, I was on a mission. So I continued heading down the road and fortunately arrived just in time to jump in the vehicle of my gracious neighbor, who got me to the grocery store while he ran some errands.

So, although I didn’t get that cup of coffee, I did get some groceries in before the holiday crowds start arriving tomorrow night.

And boy, was it cold and icy!

Tip n’ Go

“Tip & Go” that is an acronym…but this morning I saw a lot of tips in envelopes attached to the trash and recycle bins as people remembered their service providers for the holiday.

Lucky for us nobody around these parts grabs those tips to go but if you wonder why some people get their trash cans and recycle bins put back in place each week–this is why.

I think that is great.

And while I am on the topic, don’t forget that GG likes tips too…a shameless plug since I don’t get paid.

I am a horrible boss, right?

But, if you ever feel so inclined, there is a “Donate” button in the upper right hand corner of this page, but to help give you an incentive, you can find it below.

Heh, heh, heh.

Seriously, thanks to those of you who tip, are paid subscribers, or who are advertisers. Your fees pay to keep the Fawnkin Flyer up and running.

Pie Day

Thanks to Cheryl for making those peanut butter cups.

GG is on a limited regime during the quest to figure out just what the heck is going haywire with my system but I can have chocolate and peanut butter…thank goodness!

Even better is that my doctor ordered me to eat more dark chocolate!

Now you probably have not forgotten but Pie Day is Friday, December 21, 2012 from 10:00am until it ends.

Although posted to end at 4:00pm or so, locals know that just ain’t so.

Is it my imagination or am I rhyming a lot today?

I have to see if I can whip up some persimmon goodies of some sort.

Now you might have heard the rumor that there will be no pie day because the world is ending.

Rest easy, GG has it on good authority that the world will not end.

I like to believe that it is just some big energetic shift that will put women in charge and fix this mess we are in.

Also, my Aussie pals have survived and told me it was already the 21st there so I know we are okay.

James Ramos forgot about GG, although his people did call me when he was running for office but they never took me up on the offer of a column.

In case you have not heard, there have been new staff members added and they include:

  • Deputy Chief of Staff, Chris Carrillo
  • Legislative Analyst, Tony Mejia
  • Communications Director, Molly Wiltshire

These newest team members join Chief of Staff, Phil Paule and Executive Secretary, Julianne Torres.

More additions will be announced after January 1st and we are curious as to who will be on the Field Team–which is who we interact with most.

Bye Bye PMR Jimi

We are still wondering what the real story is over at the Fawnskin Post Office.

With all the rumored changes, PMR Jimi Algeo will not be continuing his service in 2013.

GG is sad about that because he always has a song or a joke to brighten my day.

Changes will happen prior to the middle of January.

And speaking of it…a big Bye Bye to 2012…this year has sure gone by quickly.

GG intends to share some photos but I won’t be updating much until 2013.

Until then, have a great holiday season!
