Nancy Walker DVD Screening
There are a lot of talented people in Fawnskin. If you know anything about the history of the area, you know this little town started as a retreat for artists, musicians and notables from Los Angeles.

Local Inn Keeper Nancy Walker is a talented singer and will be in costume and character in tribute to the memory of Patsy Cline this Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Center for Spiritual Enrichment in Big Bear Lake.

Arrive early for the DVD screening so you can enjoy hors d’oeurves (6:00pm) and socializing. The screening begins at 7:00pm and the event ends by 9:00pm.

Food, Frivolity & Fundraising
GG doesn’t get out much these days but Fawnskin favorite, Dennis London will be hosting the BBQ your own steak this Friday at Moose Lodge 2085 in downtown Fawnskin.

If you are into having a social breakfast, drop by the Lodge to try Kevin’s breakfast. The Lodge events raise both money and awareness for local charities.

Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra
The Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra is comprised of over 200 students from over 45 different schools in grades 6-9. They receive advanced instruction and challenging opportunities and perform a minimum of three concerts a year.

They will perform a free concert on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center at 39707 Big Bear Blvd. in Big Bear Lake. Doors open at 1:30 pm and the afternoon concert will include selections by Beethoven, Corelli, and the Stravinsky Firebird Suite.
