Pedersen’s Saw Mill Etc | GG’s TOT

Dumpster Day Fawnskin

Deja Vu?

Kinda, GG doesn’t want you to miss some of the activities this weekend.

BOBS

Yes, before you say it, we do have a lot of Bobs around Fawnskin.

However the BOBS I am referring to is the Babes on Boards activity down at Captain John’s Fawn Harbor & Marina.

They just had a nifty website makeover which was done by a local web designer and is state of the art.

GG likes that.

I also like that they hold this event on Thursday evenings to teach women how to paddle board.

The deal is that you show up at 5:00pm with some potluck dish and then you get to paddle around for a while, share some food, share some stories and have a good time.

Beautify Fawnskin

It is time to clean up your yard and storage areas.

Local business woman, Candy Hallstead, is holding her an annual beautification day this Saturday, May 18th 2013 from 9:00am until 3:00pm.

Just show up with your goods and she’ll even help you unload.

The event takes place behind the Fawn Lodge in town.

Pedersen’s Saw Mill

GG just got word that the Pedersen Saw Mill is about to be dismantled.

Scheduled to take place this next week, the Pedersen brothers arranged to have the Fallbrook Steam Museum come and take everything away.

This week and weekend will be your last chance to stop on by to snap photos or take one last look to this piece of Big Bear history.

May Trout Classic

The May Trout Classic is this Saturday, May 18 from 6:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday, May 19 from 6:00am to 2:00pm with an opportunity to catch a tagged trout worth $10,000

The two day event is open to all ages and skill levels. Entry fee is $65 for adults and free entry for juniors (16 years and younger) with a paid adult.

Entry forms are available at The Big Bear Visitor Center, 630 Bartlett Road (in the Village); Holloways Marina, 398 Edgemoor Rd.; Big Bear Marina, 500 Paine Court or The Big Bear Municipal Water District, 40524 Lakeview Drive.

To have an entry form mailed or to register for the event call 909-585-4007 or 909-585-7352

Gotta go now, so that is it for this week. I’ll be back Tuesday!
