Fawnskin Market is open?

Hi, I am still out of town (left on Friday) but someone emailed me to say that the Fawnskin Market is finally open. I’ll be back on Tuesday so stay tuned…

HOT, Hot, hot…

Yikes! It is warm and I should be out on the lake but nooo…I am out training and then doing internet work in between.

For any of you heading out of town to LA (do we really do that?), check out the Los Angeles menus of restaurants by area or by type of cuisine.

When oh when will the Flyer be back up?

It has been frustrating not to be able to post here on the Fawnskin Flyer. Both my blog service and host provider told me nothing was wrong. Now it has been almost two weeks and I am wondering what to do. Just happened, nothing changed…but we finally found the glitch…

######################

You know one of the disadvantages of living up here on the mountain is the shopping choices. They are limited at best. Same ol’ stuff not a lot of variety. If you want organic food the best bet is Sol Food Market–although the two larger markets do have some. I love the personal service of Susie’s place and her friendly staff. Anyway, check out another option at the local harvest website.

On that note, kudos to Sol Food Market for the FABulous event they sponsored Monday night. I wrote about it sometime back. She contacted The Cancer Project and they sponsored Cobi Kim of Long Beach (a personal chef) who came up to do a fast paced intro to eating right. The info was amazing and people showed up from around the valley.

Sorry but all the classes this session are full (three more classes to go). We unexpectedly got homework and a book with recipes, too…but we also got fed yummy, healthy food. Move over Rachel Ray!

Suzie generously donated all the food and paid for the room rental. She has a waiting list of people who want to get into the next session or who want to attend if anyone drops out. Stop by her market in Big Bear City and chat with her about it if you are interested.

BTW Donations are appreciated–support this type of programming–it is good for everyone.
